Incredible I had to scroll this far. Ketchup goes on grilled cheese, fries are best eaten with mayo, satay sauce and some finely diced raw onion.

(it's called "war fries" in Dutch, which I'm only now realising is probably in reference to the wars fought over the independence of one of 'our' former colonies, Indonesia, where satay is originally from. Gruesome.)

one time i used salsa because it was salsa from a specific restaurant and it’s the best shit in the world but i was out of chips. it was really fucking good

I wouldn't do both, but if you haven't tried a not-overly-sweet relish with a grilled cheese sandwich, you're missing out.
