Oftentimes it's the children of immigrants, who themselves are natural born citizens, who are the bigger religious extremists. In such cases, they'd have nowhere to be deported to. They're citizens.

Yes but the west enables them. Who do you think propped up Saudi Arabia for example? Who do you think threw Iran into chaos? Afghanistan? Iraq?

Norway might not have directly been involved in a major way compared to othe countries, but they don't complain when they exploit the 3rd world lmao

As much as it's not a defence, I don't really think the Taliban have been ushering in a new era of development since the Americans pulled out.

It's a sorry state of affairs, and I'd like to think they'll progress beyond the rule of the Taliban, but as with all countries it's a very complex situation that is buffeted by age-old obstacles.

I'm aware of the mujahadeen and how the Taliban was formed. But you're also ignoring the warring factions that have been at each other for yonks in the area.

And it's not that either is better than the other. There are still bomb blasts in Afghanistan that are killing a lot of people. Just because the Taliban are the imposed rulers, does not mean there is still peace. I'm happier with America not meddling, but I'm just saying that this stance that the West can be blamed for all of society's ills is as reductive as those blindly supporting West intervention, and as blind as those in the West saying Islamic terrorism is the biggest threat we face.

I never said Norway should suffer. I believe no country should suffer. I'm saying Norway is part of the reason why the developing world is suffering. And when that happens, problems start to occur such as crime, misery and extremism. And those problems can bite back.

Because Europe is a small continent with a lot of countries you have all kinds of ethnicities who are very much citizens of another country.

In Europe it’s considered odd to refer to your nationality by your ethnicity (like Americans saying they’re Italian because their great-grandfather immigrated from Italy). People (mostly) refer to their nationality based on their actual citizenship, because if you go far enough back everyone has ancestors from another country and that’s before we get into the mess of countries having wildly different borders not long ago.

Plus in most (if not all) European countries citizenship is given based on ius sanguinis so just being born in one country doesn’t give you access to the citizenship. So it’s very likely that the women in the video aren’t citizens even if they are born in Norway.

That is wrong in 10 of the 27 EU member states. Those being Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Greece, Ireland, Spain, Luxembourg, Netherlands, France, and Czech Republic.

Greece and Portugal have the most laxed laws.

That’s at best a gross misrepresentation and at worst flat out wrong. All of those countries impose fairly strict restrictions. Greece for example:

A person born in Greek territory acquires by birth the Greek nationality if not acquiring alien nationality or is of unknown nationality

With other restrictions such as parents having resident permits for some time.

The same goes for Germany and Luxembourg (ius soli in Lixembourg only applies if at least one parent was born in Luxembourg, for example). In fact, not one country in Europe has unrestricted ius soli (like the US) and Czechia doesn’t have ius soli at all, don’t know where you got that information from.

Calling someone a Norwegian is just a therm to say where someone is from, what their culture and background is. It does define how you feel, if you feel like a Norwegian, then go right ahead call yourself one.
