I think the problem is that you're not carrying it all the way to the trash
12
u/SpectralBacon Feb 04 '23
Indeed, there are only two states of lint programmed: on the bag or in the trash. Any attempt at an in-between results in a reset.

For those unfamiliar with programming languages, lint is short for linteger

Fucking static electricity!?!?!?! This is what passes for acceptable!?!?! Mediocrity at its finest. Shits awful.

That seems like a long distance for static electricity to attract the lint. I wonder what the electric potential was between the bag and the lint
0
u/nacho_breath Feb 05 '23
Electrical attractive force technically goes to infinite distance
3
u/4ntongC Feb 05 '23
Yet decreases inversely proportional to distance squared, so that’s a pretty long distance indeed

I too was disappointed. However, seeing as I pay absolutely nothing to view content, I will just keep scrolling onward

I think you're supposed to drop it on the carpet and try to vacuum it, then pick it up and try again, repeat, repeat, repeat...

u/AltruisticFlight5996 Feb 04 '23
The action you're suggesting is a sniglet originated from comedian Rich Hall, called 'carperpetuation.'
A sniglet is a word that should be in the dictionary but isn't.
4
u/TonyVstar Feb 04 '23
I definitely stole that from a comedian!
Sniglet is great! Dictionaryologists need to get their shit together

Yes it's cool and all, but you know that this is static, we know this is static, so I think this would belong more on r/mildlyinteresting and not this sub.

Every time I see a video of some basic science trick from 2nd grade I always hope it’s not r/blackmagicfuckery

The stuff we call physics... They used to call magic.
And for those who don't study science in school, apparently it still is "magic" 🤷♂️

Bro this is the worst when you’re scraping cat hair off of stuff. The shit clings like hell

u/flodge123 Feb 05 '23
You all would shit bricks if you saw my illusion where I summon a demon to make pieces of paper stick to my ruler.

That’s it. This is the post that finally made me unsubscribe from this subreddit.
Countless posts of simple people not understanding basic science or extremely faked videos. I’m done.

Leave the poor lint alone! It made friends with your bag and doesn’t want to let go☹️

It's the yellow colour. Insects think that this is the sun and keep flying towards it.
Live hack: don't wear yellow shirts in summer, especially in the twilight. You will be a prey to mosquitos.
