Can anyone explain this soap bubble in our dish soap that sporadically floating and moving on the same invisible plane? Is this a glitch in the simulation?

Why do you act like there isnt clearly a layer of soap on the bottle? ‘Invisible plane’ indeed.

u/Fair_Diet_4874 Feb 05 '23
No, its a glitch

I was gonna say OP solved the “r/blackmagicfuckery” when they pulled the bottle right up into the camera. Mystery solved by OP long before they even thought to make this lame post.

I’ve been wondering if people post deliberately stupid things to farm karma. As it makes us all talk about how stupid it is.

Idk if this is a joke but you can clearly see a layer of soap holding it up

u/noinnocentbystander Feb 06 '23
Wait where?? I’m trying to see this layer of soap but I can’t
12
u/StonerSloth125 Feb 06 '23
The ring inside, looks like a circle. As soon as it pops it starts dripping down the bottle
9
u/noinnocentbystander Feb 06 '23
Ahhh ok so you’re saying there was a thin translucent layer (kinda like a flat bubble) and the little bubble is bouncing off of it? I guess my eyesight sucks lol
11
u/StonerSloth125 Feb 06 '23
Yes exactly but i wouldnt say bouncing off of it, its more gliding/sliding on it
2
2
u/BattleAnus Feb 06 '23
You can see the dark line that goes in a roughly circular shape right above where she's holding, which then "pops" although there's still a bit of a shadow since it looks like there's also a curve in the bottle right there

u/mikeperson229 Feb 05 '23
Yes it’s a glitch in the simulation obviously. Don’t listen to all these bots trying to rationalize it to you in the comments. It’s obvious a glitch in the computer system we’re all living in it’s the only rational explanation

u/Windfall_The_Dutchie Feb 05 '23
The “invisible plane” is the larger bubble. The smaller bubble is sliding around on it. You can see the ring around it created by the larger bubble.

A bubble formed inside the bottle, very similar to a bubble wand and there was a bead of soap on top of it

u/supagirl277 Feb 06 '23
There’s a film across the top that a smaller bubble is sliding and bouncing on

Uh oh OP, looks like some malevolent energy at work! It’s time to salt and sage your home!
2
u/johndoe73684168 Feb 05 '23
Be careful with that, if you spin the bubble 3x clockwise you might accidentally open a portal to another realm and the Soap People will invade ours.

u/mathandkitties Feb 05 '23
The "plane" is the location where the forces acting on the bubble counteract each other exactly.
There are two main forces at work here: the cohesion from surface tension of the soap solution, and gravity.
Surface tension pulls the soap bubble together. Due to the slope of the bottle, this causes the bubble to move upward along the sides of the bottle. As the bubble is pulled together, it gets thicker, reducing the surface-area-to-mass ratio of the bubble. This reduces the surface tension, so the bubble is pulled together more weakly.
On the other hand, gravity pulls the bubble down, and due to the slope of the bottle, this stretches the bubble out to be more thin. This increases the effect of the surface tension because the surface-area-to-mass ratio increases.
What you have here is the optimal spot at which the force due to gravity and the cohesion of the soap counteract each other exactly.
Sort of like balancing a weight on a spring: gravity pulls the weight down, the spring pushes the weight up. If the spring is too compressed, it exerts more upward force, and if the spring is overstretched then the spring exerts less force. There is a spot in the middle where they counterbalance one another exactly, and the weight naturally will come to rest in the position where the two forces counteract each other exactly.

Not like there’s a bubble right there in the middle. Idiot (Remove if it offends you don’t ban)

You can literally see the reason plain as day in 95% of the posts in this sub. Should rename the sub to, right in front of my nose and couldn't see. Or if it was a snake it would have bit you.

looks like it was being pulled by an invisible string or something, maybe surface tension idk man

Some of my best sessions have been when I didn’t feel like it, but went to hang with friends anyway. But then again, Sometimes it’s ok not to.

That's a droplet of soap at the bottom of a bubble. It's not two bubbles, that's just the bottom point (droplet of soap under bubble) shifting due to changing gravitational pull when the bottle is moved.

It isn't a soap bubble, it's a drop of liquid sliding on a bubble that's stretched across the bottle inside.... I mean.... how did you live this far never seeing anything like it... my kids would know what it is. It's kinda scary this baffles you... while you use and understand words like "plane" in this context. Also life really isn't a simulation and glitches really do not happen 😅 physics are holistic and entire and do not budge for nothing 💙💙💙

So, a drop of soap on a buble film bouncing around because you are shaking the bottle. And you upload that here acting like you want an explanation.

The real mystery is why are you breathing so hard, just holding a soap bottle?

Life hasn't rendered that the soap is gone yet. The particles haven't despawned yet.

u/Crab_Hot Feb 06 '23
Uhh... Yeah... I thought it was pretty obvious. There was a "bubble" across the top of the bottle, like a film. Think of a "trampoline" style film that made the "plane" you speak of. There was a drop of detergent hanging onto it. That's it.

Bubble Inside another Bubble 💯 You can Clearly see the Bubble on the Bottle (then when they shook it hard enough it Burst)!!! No Magic Here 😅

The dark side of the bottle is a gateway to many abilities some would consider to be... unnatural

u/Medical_Bumblebee627 Feb 06 '23
How about you rinse off the top of the bottle every once in a while? Enough coagulated soap up there to do a whole sink full.

u/jerrythecactus Feb 06 '23
There's a bubble membrane in the bottle that this droplet of soap is gliding on without breaking its surface tension.

u/SlyFoxInACave Feb 06 '23

What are they putting in our soap for this effect? This cannot be natural. We all know this wasn't happening 20 years ago. We as a nation need to ask what the hell is going on.

It's not a floating bubble but a hanging drip. They also break. Makes more sense. Look at how it moves. It's swinging. Not floating.

u/Bloodlosswithasmile Feb 06 '23
A drop of soap gliding on a soap bubble inside the container. When the drop of soap hits the edge wall it pops the bubble

No, war is a glitch in the simulation. Your bubble is a glitch in the dish liquid mixing machine.

ive seen this before. that line around the bottle is a lg bubble formed n the neck of the bottle. some of the dish liquid is sitting on the bubble and sliding back and forth
1
u/uumamiii Feb 06 '23
That is a drop of soapy water dancing under a bubble film that spans the whole bottle.

Thin bubble film across the bottle, soap bubble gliding along it with minimal friction.
