Was just banned without explanation from r/texas for mild comments about CRT in grade schools. Much stronger comments than mine posted - assuming they were banned too.

I've scanned a few other state subreddits before, and they seemed dominated by Leftists as well.

Proposition: would it be possible/usable to use post flair on /r/Conservative to circumvent these Leftist owned subreddits? Just using regions as an example, adding Midwest, Southeast, Northeast, Northwest flair to avoid /r/<state> subs.

In my opinion is patriarchal to think masculine terms are gender neutral and using it as a default term for everyone you meet is harmful.

I mostly just want to vent, but also to get some perspective and advice how to proceed.

Last week, my friends were over for a board game night. My GF lives with me, and there were 4 friends over. My GF is a bit socially anxious and didn't join us.

Halfway through the evening, my GF pops into the living room where we all were, and I say hi. She says hi to everyone, and one person says hi back, and the rest of the people ignored her.

I didn't realise this happened, because I immediately went up to her and hugged her in the kitchen and asked her how she was and we had a little conversation.

I went to the bathroom, and when I came back, she was gone.

After the evening, she told me that they were incredibly rude, ignoring her as she was in the room. No-one talked to her.

I told her that they're all fairly socially awkward (hence the board game and roleplay night. haha.) and that it wasn't a slight against her at all.

She held on that they were so rude, which I agreed to, and that if it was a group of 4 people, at least one of them could have talked to her.

She now says she really dislikes them and doesn't want to interact with them... But they'll be round every week, as we normally do.

I've asked her to see that they aren't bad people, and that they were perhaps rude, but only because they are really awkward as people, and it's more difficult to interact with a person when you're already in a group.

She got upset and told me that I'm justifying their actions and that she will not be ignored in her own home and that she won't have it, and then stormed out.

I need some perspectives here please.

One additional note is that being ignored in her home is a big trigger for her. She was ignored by her mother a lot when she was a kid, and was neglected thereof.

Hello, bit of a weird question but here it goes. I’m half American and German, my father was born a German citizen and left as a child when my grandparents came to the US. Since my father was a dual citizen at the time of my birth, I am German by descent and a dual citizen myself. However, I have never been to Germany nor do I speak German. Would other Germans think it’d be weird or would I look stupid if I called myself German?

So my mom was on hospice last month, she had cancer. So me and my boyfriend stayed at her house till the end. She was on hospice for 8 days and died. After she died, I went to the kitchen and I started contacting family members about the death. My boyfriend was left alone in the room. When I was done with the phone calls, I went to the room and saw him playing with her death corpse. He was moving her mouth around like she was talking, and he also was moving her hand in a circular motion like she was talking using hand jesters. I started asking him what was he doing and to stop. He stops after I caught him. What should I do about this?

The amount of downvotes on trans people’s posts should say it alone. I am beyond sick of being othered and antagonized in this community and different subs. I don’t see the point continuing if this is all the world has in store for me, and if the world is going to continue telling me I hurt cis women by existing. The amount of whataboutism, belittling, thinly veiled transphobia, regurgitated terf talking points, and performative ally ship in this sub is too much for me. Yes THIS sub. I see it, and just because you don’t doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I’ve seen one too many comments downplay transphobia, or downright spout it being left here that I can’t continue in this community. I have seen so many posts of people complaining about trans acceptance, and so many people complaining about trans women and how they’re invading this sub when we rightfully call this shit out. It’s just gross.

The amount of pushback people here have to the slightest bit of trans acceptance is insane. Bye.

Long time fan, but new to the sub. So I’m sure this has been mentioned plenty of times before, but it’s something that I’m very passionate about lol. I really really dislike Harry and Ginny as a couple, it just never made sense! In the movies, there’s zero chemistry and all their scenes together are extremely cringe worthy. Sure it worked a little better in the books, because 1. Ginny had a personality in the books, and 2. I didn’t have to look at it. But even in the books, it makes zero sense. Harry should’ve obviously ended up with Luna, and Ginny should have been with Neville.

Ive been seeing a lot of people already showing their dislike for Logan Sargeant. Im not really a fan of his nor i intend to be yet i feel like he is getting way too much hate just for the things he said in the past. Should i be wary of him? Is he a decent human being? His performances in F2 are commendable albeit meh compared to the others who finished above him
