u/RedOctobrrr Feb 06 '23
$67 ÷ $2.26 gain per share = roughly 30 shares
30 shares × $2.99 entry = holy fuck we have a whale here, this MF went all in with $89.70
Talk about YOLO of 2023 Jeeeesussss

u/dustcore025 Feb 07 '23
curious though, it says in there
" The Series A Convertible Preferred Stock, the Common Stock Warrants and the Preferred Stock Warrants will be issued separately but can only be purchased together in this offering. There is no established trading market for the Series A Convertible Preferred Stock or the Warrants and we do not expect a market to develop. In addition, we do not intend to list the Series A Convertible Preferred Stock or the Warrants on the Nasdaq Global Select Market or any other national securities exchange or any other nationally recognized trading system "
So it has to be privately bought?

Series A Convertible Preferred Stock
Just keep in mind that "convertible" means that this preferred stock can be converted into common shares at some point in the future. So, while the dilution isn't today, it will almost certainly happen someday. Maybe these prefered shares change hands privately a few times, but eventually, once a predetermined date passes, someone who is holding prefered shares is going to convert them to common shares to be sold on the open market.
9
u/Fausterion18 Feb 07 '23
Those shares are immediately convertible and their offering even says the investor may decide to convert immediately and dump it all on the market.

I like this guy who reads things. Makes my brain think maybe someone just bought the company for those non tradeable shares at a low price. They would be protected in a way?
8
24
u/umad-falala Feb 07 '23
The filing specifically states that they’re immediately convertible and that the buyer could dump them on the market for a profit to the detriment of existing shareholders. I’m not even joking, it says that.

6
u/Sector__7 Feb 07 '23
Nah, I was highly regarded back during the 2008 crash when I bought it as I thought that I was young and invincible. Basically, the typical regarded young adult. I don’t even remember the name as it’s been delisted for years but my broker said that they couldn’t remove it for me to claim the loss as there was a lawsuit or some shit on it. I think it was some medical penny stock. For the longest of time, it was listed as some random numbers until the beginning of this year when I noticed that it was gone. My broker finally removed it from my account and provided the tax forms to claim it as a full 100% long term loss.

Don’t most good squeezes happen this way? Go up nice and high then fall hard then go up even harder? Then fall hard again, and whoever is left holding bags after run 2 (sometimes 3) just holds the bags again till next year?
55
u/MisterBilau Feb 06 '23
Yes, if there are no other factors. If company says: we gotta do a fucktasticly large dilution and sell all that or we gonna go bankrupt and you get zero, then it can just fall and that's it.
→ More replies (1)27
u/JoelMcCassidy Feb 07 '23
People really missing the part where they announced intended dilution that is currently double their market cap. And to top it off it barely covers a fraction of their current debt and they mention that even with the dilution they may not be able to pay anything off.
If you hold while they try to rummage your pockets to survive you deserve to be destitute.

I see what you did, and you weren't wrong. You sold when it starting tanking after the first major jump. A lot of people did, hence the extended drop prior to the next big rise.
It could have gone either way at that point. You were not stupid for being cautious and betting that the price was heading back down to 3.1
